Stay and Play at St Mary's School

Mondays 1-3pm in the Leaf Cabin

Come along and enjoy a fun free Stay and Play session with your children. For parent's and children aged under 5. Also available Parent Support Advisor Drop In for parent's of older children.

Bilingual Families

Thursday 9.00am - 11.30am

Bilingual Families is a 12 week course which will support you to develop your language and literacy skills so that you can support your child with their homework.

It will also give you time together doing fun activities with your child to support him/her to develop their literacy skills. Creche will be provided. For more information and to book a place please contact the Children's Centre on 01924 302646.

Incredible Years Positive Parenting

Friday's 9.15-11.15am

Incredible Years - Positive Parenting is course for Families with children aged 3-6. This 12 Week course will help you to understand your child's behaviour and how to get the best out of the time you spend as a family. The course starts Friday 24th September 2010 9.15 - 11.15am. Aerobics for Women

Friday's 9.30 - 10.30am

keep fit.jpg Due to the success of the taster course Aerobics for Women is due to start on Friday 25th September for 10 weeks. This course is for anyone who is interested in becoming fit. Aerobic workouts can help make you feel better about yourself so you can enjoy life more.

There will be charge for the course but you may be entitled to a discount if you are in receipt of certain benefits.

Feel Good Group

Thursdays 9.30-11.30am

Don't have much interest in doing things?
Feel uneasy?
Restless?
Irritable?
Do you feel stressed?
Do you often
Feel low?
Does your heart beat fast?
Do you feel queasy?
Do you have trouble sleeping?

If you are experiencing any or all of the above feelings and you'd like support and information in a safe setting then this may be the course for you. The Well Women Centre will be delivering this 12 week course at Pinmoor Children's Centre to explore these feelings. The group will explore what can help and what can hinder us when we feel down and suggest ways of coping with the blues. A crèche will be provided for children under 5 years.

Baby Start

Wednesdays 1.00-2.30pm

Baby Start is an 8 week programme for first time parents/carers of children aged 0-6 months. Over the 8 weeks we will look at a range of topics such as weaning, tots teeth, childhood illnesses and immunisations. The next Baby Start programme begins on Wednesday 22nd September 2010.

Baby Massage

Tuesdays 1.45-3.00pm

Come join our 5 week course and learn how to massage your baby with our Certified Infant Massage Instructors (CIMI's).

Infant Massage has many benefits, it can help to promote better sleep patterns, can help reduce the discomfort of colic, wind and constipation and aid the bonding process.

Baby Time

Tuesdays 10.00 - 11.30am

Baby Time will now be moving to Tuesday mornings 10.00 - 11.30 am instead of Wednesday afternoons. The group will now be held in the Rainbow Annexe which is located at the back of the Children's Centre. The group is now for children aged 0-18 months. Baby Signing

Mondays 10.00-11.00am
